Over Grown Hooves

This is a problem we deal with regularly. We believe the best approach is to try and return the hoof as close to normal, as quickly as we can.

Here is a lateral view of the same horse. We were able to perform the set up trim for the local farrier who is still a trainee, and then hand the job back to him to keep looking after.

This is the hind foot of a different horse showing a similar issue. Both of these horses will require ongoing trimming to get a normal hoof shape back, but this is an excellent amount of change to make at a first appointment.
